How To Throw a Fastball

The most important pitch in baseball is the fastball and the ability to throw it hard and with control is key to a pitcher's success.

In order to grip the ball, you should place your index and middle fingers across the seams at the top.  Make sure there is a little space between these two fingers. Your thumb should be across the bottom seam. Make sure not to grip the ball too tightly.
Then, to deliver the pitch you should lift the knee of your front foot to a little above your waist. After this, wind your throwing arm behind you lower to the ground. Lower your leg closer to the ground and then stride in front out towards the plate.
Once your foot hits the ground, push off your back foot, extend your arm forward, and release. Make sure not to snap your wrist and follow through the motion in order to assure good velocity and control.
